We’ve created a blend of the eight most powerful botanicals from different parts of the world that have proven beneficial to throat health — chaga from Alaska, liquorice root from Egypt, matcha from Japan, sea buckthorn from Europe, marshmallow root from Western Asia, slippery elm bark from Northeast America, ginger from India and Manuka honey from New Zealand. This adaptogenic blend was designed to support the entire respiratory system, including giving vocal support, and to help restore overall balance in the body.

The most potent chaga is harvested where winters are longest and coldest and the location is most unpolluted, making Alaskan chaga the purest and most potent anti-oxidant and most versatile adaptogen on earth. Chaga mycelium grown on substrate in a lab is lacking in beneficial compounds and do not provide all the health benefits scientific studies have shown chaga to provide. Chagit’s raw materials are sustainably wild-harvested and third party tested for pathogens and heavy metals before being ground.

Premium process

Because chaga consists of about 55% carbohydrates and 45% lipids, water extraction alone results in the loss of almost half of all its bio-compounds (everything contained in the lipids), whereas alcohol extraction (tinctures) destroys many of the more sensitive polysaccharide-based compounds. Dual extraction is therefore required, but these processes have severe limitations and inconsistent results. Biochemists at Chagit have developed an innovative, full spectrum, 14-day extraction process, that utilises water and coconut glycerin in varying ratios during the 4 stages of extraction, along with heat, agitation and pressure. The product of each stage are filtered and blended at cool temperatures. This is followed by evaporation below 4°C, eliminating the need for drying and the resulting loss in nutritional value (which, in the case of spray-drying, can be as high as 70% loss).

The result is a superior final product, containing over 200 bioactive compounds — most notably beta-glucans, sterols (lanosterol, inotodiol & ergosterol), polyphenols (melanins & hispidin) and terpenoids (botulin, betulinic acid, oleanolic acid & inonotsulide A). The extract is naturally sweet (though non-glycemic), potent, pure, versatile and very stable for at least 3 years.
